Yesterday our travel plans came in the mail for our whole district! Sometimes only part of the district will get them and the rest won´t for a few days, but since we´re all traveling together, we all got our plans together. YAY!! We´re leaving in just 9 days. WHAT(insert a few question marks here as well as these !!! because I can´t seem to find the question mark yet)!
This week I got to be a host for the new missionaries coming in. So I got to take the new chicas to their apartments and be cool because I´ve been here long enough to supposedly know stuff like where all the apartments are. Luckily the ones I took were both in my building so it wasn´t a problem. Our zone got 4 new sisters, but now it´s only three because one of them ran away to the place where they already know Spanish. We also got two new Elders. I like not being the new ones. It´s been that way for a while, but now I just feel it even more now that I´ve been here a whole month (as of today).
We´re teaching someone in TRC which still isn´t making any sense to me whether it´s true or not about the people being real investigators, but either way, we´ve been teaching Gabriel and he´s pretty cool. We also got him committed to baptism. It´s weird though because two of the Elders in our district also were teaching him and committed him. So now we´re working together to get him to actually follow through. Supposedly he´s committed before and never ends up pulling through, so we are hoping that if he is a real investigator that we´ll have the chance to go to his baptism. He also told us that he was very shocked and surprised that we know as much Spanish as we do for four weeks and compared it to his English and he´s been here for 22 years. His English is much better than our Spanish though.
It´s just amazing how much missionaries can do. I have learned so much this week and I´m really seeing what power we have as missionaries of God. He is helping us every step of the way and wants us to be the best missionaries we can be. He´s making it possible for us to learn all we need to and to progress to be able to succeed. It´s so exciting being here and I´m sad and excited to be leaving to Mexico in just 9 days!!
Adios until next week!
Hermana Humphrey
Sorry I don´t have any pictures this week. Just pretend.
