I've made it a full transfer here in the land of Tortilla! And no. I'm not being transfered this week and neither is my companion. We're staying the same. (That's usually how it happens for trainers). So this week was surprisingly really fast! It was kind of nice to have a faster week. Even though we had a lot of time where I felt like no one wanted to answer the door (like the entire city left to the beach or something), it was still fast for me. So that's nice. I'm still melting down here in Mexico, but it's okay. I think the reason why it's so hot (lots of people mention that it's worse than usual) is because it is hardly raining ever). I'm sure we'll have plenty of rain in not too long. I'm hoping!
Wednesday was the day we did our regular piano and English lessons. That was... not exactly the best use of my time. One 7 year old came for both. And also an adult member for piano. So teaching English was just learning very basic words and pretending like she had them figured out. Then for piano my companion decided that since the adult already knew the notes and such - she just needed to learn where they are on the piano - that we should teach the two people separately. She had me teach the little girl while she taught the adult. (My companion barely knows piano and where the notes are, so where's the logic? I need help finding it.) I taught the little girl the notes, but the Mexico way (which is do re mi... rather than a b c...) I don't like the Mexico way! It doesn't make any sense to do it that way!
So I'm learning to teach a new way and we'll see if it grows on me.
Yesterday in church we (the four of us missionaries for the ward) had a lesson for
Sunday School that we taught. I actually got up and talked. I'm pretty sure I surprised the whole ward with the ability I have to speak. Most of them thought I don't know any Spanish at all. I showed them. :) Anyway! It was a good week and all kinds of great things.
New food of the week: fish. Fried fish. And the fish was whole. I freaked out a little when I saw it because I wasn't sure if I could do it with the face and all, but surprisingly it was very good and not as disturbing as I expected! I'm actually excited to have it again sometime.
Have a happy week! :) I'll try to as well!
